Defend and catch them on swift counter attacks! Abu is in there since Partey has been pushed up, but I strongly think Nuamah should have been in there so that Partey plays right in front of Dziku to distribute the balls as our number 10.

Abu should have started from the bench.

He whipped in an exquisite free-kick to gift Thomas Partey a headed opener, before the 33-year-old's corner enabled the same player to double the lead. Ayew then gracefully fleed through the midfield and slid a cushioned pass behind the Madagascar defence, which Mohammed Kudus ran on to and stroked home.

It was the Black Stars’ fourth straight win in qualifying, and moved them on to 15 points from a possible 18 and on the cusp of a World Cup place. The Malagasy remain in second on 10 points.
