Sekondi, Sept. 22 2006 - - John Baker, former ace goalkeeper of the national soccer team, the Black Stars and former First Division side, Sekondi Eleven Wise has been confirmed dead at Sekondi on Sunday, September 4 at the age of 57.

Baker also played for Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Real Tamale United (RTU) football clubs during his hey days.
