Former Dawu Youngsters and Accra Great Olympics player, who rose from obscurity to prominence after joining Kotoko
Issah joined the Kumasi-based club after a stint with Great Olympics in the 2003 edition of the Top Four Competition, during which he put up a ritzy performance to grab the attention of officials of Asante Kotoko.
In no time Issa inched himself into the team’s first set, and in 2004, when skipper Joe Hendricks left the club following misunderstanding with the then management of the club, Issa was appointed skipper of Kotoko.
He captained Kotoko to the 2005 league title in Ghana while playing a pivotal role in his nation's last four qualifying matches for the 2006 FIFA World Cup™.
He joined Randers FC in January 2006 and 'helped' them to promotion to Denmark’s Super League.
