Acquah is currenty unemployed with six dependants. The former Great Olympics, Hearts, Kotoko player was one of first Ghanaian ex-stars to play professional football in the USA a together with the late Willie Evans in the 70s.
A member of the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Acquah was one of the few players poached from secondary schools by the then Director of Sports, Ohene Djan, to form the New Horizon (Black Stars team B).
