March 2002: Abdul Karim Ahmed's work permit was rejected a work permit by the norweagian gorverment. The Ghana-international will try one more time, and Football Director Bjarne Berntsen in Viking says the reject was a surprise.
- It is strange, because UDI wrote in their answer that Karim was qualified because of his mathes with u-20, u-21 and the national team in Ghana, he said.

February 2003

Viking club in the Norwegian league have terminated the contract of Ghanaian player, Abdul Karim for indiscipline. The Ghanaian player is reported to have overstayed his holiday break during Christmas last year as the 22year-old Karim turned up 17 days late for training with the Stavanger club after departing for Accra before Christmas.
Karim who featured for Ghana’s national under-21 side, the Black Satellites during the 1997 edition of the FIFA World Youth Championship is now free to join any club though the European transfer window is closed the club said.

2005: Abdul Karim Ahmed currently plays for FK Tonsberg, a small and unmerited club in the second highest division. Had a spell with Viking , which is a strong club, in 2002. Played 11 matches, scored one goal. Remember him being desribed as a talented player, seems he has disappeared from the top scene since I can't find information about him for seasons 2003 - 2004.
