Akosombo Textile Tennis league at the week-end

Accra, March 8, GNA - The long awaited Akosombo Textile Limited (ATL) Table Tennis League will kick off at the D.G Hathiramani Sports Hall of the Ohene Djan Sports stadium in Accra on Saturday, March 12. According to a statement signed by Mr Emmanuel Oteng Aboagye, Secretary General of the Ghana Table Tennis Association, (GTTA), copied to the GNA Sports, the Deputy Minister of Education and Sports, Mr Joe Aggrey would officially commission the ceremony.

The Guest of Honour will be Mr Walter Esposito, the Executive Director of ATL.

The statement extended invitation to all staff and management of ATL and all lovers of the sport to come and witness the historic event. It said at the close of registration exercise, 19 clubs have indicated their preparation to take part in the league. The teams are Ghana Navy, GASSA, Ghana Police, Fire Service, CEPS, Ghana Telecom, Tema Club, Tesano Sports Club, GUSA, Koforidua Club and Eastern Club.

The rest are Greater Accra Club, Vilcabamba, Kwanyarko Club, Winneba Academy, Cape Coast Club and Ashanti Club.

Meanwhile, representatives of the Clubs have been asked to meet the organisers on Tuesday, March 8 at the Ohene Djan Stadium for the fixtures and briefing.
