GTA open championship, moves into top gear

The Ghana Tennis Association's annual open championship, which started last Monday aim at improving the ratings of Ghanaian Tennis players moves into the fourth round (Today) Monday with very attractive pairings.

In the men's division, sensational Emmanuel Holm come up against Joseph Doe-Adjani in the opening of a four-match pairings at the center court of the Accra Sports Stadium.

Young Enoch Hammond come face-to-face with Albert Aidoo in a crunchy duel, Eric Nartey clash with Ahmed Duartey while Abubakari Sadiq lock horns with Owusu Ansah in the final match of the day.

Afeafa Buta-Buah and Rosemary Mantey open hostilities in the ladies quarterfinal match, which would be followed by the encounter between Kate Coleman and Mary Cudjoe.

Also coming up on Monday is the boy's under-16 year quarterfinal matches between Emmanuel Mensah and Charles Asomani and Eugine Hammond versus Owusu Menford.

Officials of the GTA told the GNA Sports that the first round matches at the under-14 level commence later in the afternoon on Monday.
