A 26-year-old Mubarak Haruna was abducted a month ago in the state's Jibia Local Government Area, has been freed by Katsina State Police Command operations.

The victim, from Katsina's Tudun Yanlihidda quarters, was reportedly abducted by criminals near Kwarare village while driving a commercial vehicle on the Katsina to Magamar Jibia road.

ASP Abubakar Sadiq, the state police public relations officer, made this announcement in Katsina on Thursday.

"The command, led by CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, successfully freed the kidnapped victim in a persistent struggle against the menace of kidnapping and banditry," Sadiq stated.

During a routine patrol on the fringes of Kukar Babangida village, Jibia LGA, on October 24, 2024, at approximately 06:30 pm, agents successfully rescued a kidnapped victim.
