Hon Joseph Cudjoe will be deeply missed as the Member of Parliament for Effia Constituency, a position you held from January 7, 2013, to January 6, 2025. During your tenure, you brought about significant transformation and development to the constituency, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of its people.
Your contributions are numerous, but some notable ones include being the sole sponsor of the Effia Carnival for an impressive ten years straight, and also sponsoring the Effia Community League. These initiatives not only showcased your commitment to the community's cultural and social development but also provided a platform for the youth to engage in productive activities.
Hon Cudjoe, your dedication to the youth is particularly commendable. You secured well-paying jobs for some of them and sponsored many others through tertiary education, empowering them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in life. Your generosity knew no bounds as you extended to religious leaders, whom you sponsored to go on pilgrimages to Israel or Haj, fostering spiritual growth and development.
Hon, your dedication to physical infrastructure development of your constituency is unmatched. You advocated for the building of the Effia Social Centre which you later made a case to be used to host EKMA. You contributed to educational infrastructure at all the schools in Effia Constituency. As for roads, your accolade Men At Work says it all.
The dark Effia Constituency was lit up when in one single project, you installed 3,200 streetlights. As a soccer player yourself, you delivered two astroturfs and on course to deliver additional two. Drainagees, helath and water facilities were monthly project deliveries to you.
As an academic, you elevated people in education. As a businessman, you developed entrepreneurs. As professional career person, you developed professionals. As a joy-giver, parties and entertainment programs were in abundant supply. Above all, as a unifier, you blessed even your opposers and competitors with your acts of kindness.
What didn’t Hon Cudjoe’s do? He did all. An MP, Cabinet Minister and an EMT Member who interacts with his constituents directly even on WhatsApp platforms. Effia will miss your absence for years, Honourable Cudjoe.
As you bid farewell to your role as MP, the people of Effia Constituency will remember you for your selfless service, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to their well-being. Your legacy will continue to inspire future generations, and your contributions will always be cherished. *Thank you, Hon Joseph Cudjoe, for your remarkable service to the people of Effia Constituency*.
