Emmanuel Sackey, the father of the deceased in the O’Reilly Senior High School murder case, has clarified that his son was stabbed with a jackknife, not scissors as previously speculated. After his fifth appearance at the La Circuit Court on October 21, he expressed frustration over yet another adjournment of the case until November 4.
Sackey emphasized that his son was stabbed three times, not once, insisting that the brutality of the act demands swift justice. “I don’t know what they are doing with this case. For the past three months, we have been coming here and going, and nothing has been done. This case is a clear one with evidence, so what is the delay for? The up and down has been too much. This is a murder, and so I don’t understand what is going on,” he stressed.
He also recounted his conversation with the doctor during the autopsy, saying, “I was right there when the autopsy came, so I questioned the doctor whether it was stabbing by scissors or what, and he said no, it was a knife, and it was three times. Whoever tells you that it was once is a liar; it was three times. They are trying to make it like self-defense. Fine, if it is self-defense or whatever, is the student supposed to come to school with a weapon?” he questioned.
On September 2, a final-year student at O’Reilly Senior High School stabbed his fellow classmate over a dispute regarding whose father was wealthier. The court has instructed all parties involved to return on November 4 as it awaits advice from the Attorney General.
