Lawyer Vincent Ekow Assafuah, the Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, has leaked a WhatsApp group message allegedly from National Democratic Congress (NDC) Members of Parliament (MPs). In the leaked conversation, the NDC MPs express intentions to engage in what they term "lawless" behavior, labeling themselves as a "shameless minority" unable to trust one another.

The chat reportedly includes remarks from the MP for Madina, who stated there would be no budget hearing, suggesting that NPP MPs could resort to the Supreme Court to compel their return to Parliament. Another member, Hon. Susu, proposed that all 34 constituencies in Accra contribute at least 200 constituents to protest at Parliament.

Hon. Clement Apaak is quoted as saying, “Showdown assured on Tuesday we shall see how the CJ enforce the nonsensical order by the SC.” Hon. Edward Bawa also emphasized that their priority is to appear in Parliament visibly engaged in the fight.

The alleged leak features prominent NDC MPs, including Hon. Roskson Dafeamekpor, Hon. John Jinapor, and Hon. Mahama Ayariga.

This development comes as Parliament reconvenes following the Supreme Court's ruling that overturned the Speaker's decision to declare four parliamentary seats vacant. Both the NDC and the NPP caucuses are asserting their claims to the majority in Parliament, despite the ongoing tensions and legal disputes surrounding the seats.
