Running Mate of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh says the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) remembers the residents at Sefwi Suaman only when an election is nearing.

According to him, the NDC’s love for the Region is fake as they only exhibit it when they are seeking power.

Addressing a rally at Karlo in the Suaman constituency of the Western North Region, NAPO as he’s affectionately called described the NDC’s behavior as “disrespect” to the people.

He therefore urged the Chiefs and constituents not to succumb to NDC's deceitful ways.

Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh further argued that despite nearly 30 years of the Region’s loyalty to the NDC, there has been little to no visible progress in the area to reflect this support.

He urged the voters to abandon the National Democratic Congress in the upcoming December 7 elections.

Also speaking at a rally in Kaase and Debiso in Karlo, he emphasized the gap between the Region's development and their consistent support to the NDC.

The Suaman seat, he believed, will come to the New Patriotic Party with the people united in their commitment to uphold the government’s progress in Free SHS, power stability, new school infrastructure, Agenda 111 among others.

“With unwavering conviction, they know that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the leader. Ghana needs in this defining moment of our history. They will not only campaign for him but will also turn out in massive numbers to vote for him. Through faith and hard work, Frederick Addy is headed to Parliament on the NPP's ticket.”

Dr. Opoku Prempeh also assured small-scale miners of the NPP’s commitment to providing resources for responsible mining practices and urged the mining communities to vote for Dr. Bawumia to ensure effective measures are implemented.

“The comprehensive plan to curb illegal mining is part of Dr. Bawumia's vision for Ghana's development.”
