Salifu Amoako’s son under heavy police guard at hospital pending arrest

Elrad Salifu Amoako, the son of prominent preacher Prophet Salifu Amoako, is currently under tight police guard at a hospital following a fatal accident in East Legon. Elrad, who is receiving treatment, is being monitored to ensure his arrest once his condition improves. The accident, which occurred on October 12, 2024, led to the tragic deaths of two young girls.

Police officials have highlighted the high public interest surrounding the case and have promised to take all necessary steps to ensure justice is served.

In connection with the incident, the Ghana Police Service has officially charged Prophet Salifu Amoako, his wife, Mouha Amoako, and a third individual for allowing 16-year-old Elrad, who lacks a driver’s license, to operate the vehicle. The parents are expected to reappear in court on October 30, 2024.

The accident has ignited widespread public outrage, with many calling for immediate legal action against those responsible. The police have reiterated their dedication to thoroughly investigating the case, recognizing the seriousness of the situation and the public's demand for accountability.
