The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle Constituency in the Western region, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has built and commissioned an ultra-modern Community-based Health Planning Services (CHPS) compound at Santaso.

The health facility formed part of the NDC lawmaker's efforts to end the long journey the residents of Santaso and its adjoining communities used to walk before accessing medical attention at Aiyinasi and Prestea.

The MP cut sod for the project in April 2024.

Speaking at the colourful handing-over ceremony at Santaso on Saturday, November 23, 2024, Armah-Kofi Buah commended the contractor for completing the project on time.

He also thanked the chiefs and people of Santaso for supporting the contractor to complete the project on time.

"I want all of you here to join me to thank the contractor and the chief and people for coming together to complete the project on time", he commended.

He disclosed that, "this health facility is one of the few health centers in the entire zone, which will provide essential healthcare services to numerous surrounding communities and even those from afar".

He stated that the facility would serve as a vital primary healthcare service in the area.

"Its establishment will serve as a vital primary healthcare service and first point of contact, effectively bridging the gap in healthcare disparities and promoting equitable access for all residents", he stated.

He called on the management of the facility to maintain it.

Armah-Kofi Buah took the opportunity to pledge that the next NDC government would continue the construction of Aiyinasi North road.

"We started the construction of your road in 2016 and unfortunately we lost power but we have another opportunity to make choice on December 7th 2024, let me assure you that the next NDC government will complete your road to make it motorable", he promised.

He also promised to connect the rest of communities in the Aiyinasi North to the national electricity grid.

"When my NDC was in government we connected so many communities here to the national electricity grid and it has left with five communities and when we come to power we will make sure all communities here get electricity", he said.

The Ellembelle MP took the opportunity to present 10 motorbikes to Ellembelle District Health Directorate to boost healthcare workers' mobility and accessibility for community engagements and public health outreach programs, particularly in remote areas.

He also provided GHC65,000 to the health Directorate to repair the ambulance at the Aidoo Suazo CHPS compound.

Armah Buah distributed sewing machines and hair dryers to the beneficiaries of Skill Up Ellembelle apprenticeship program in the Aiyinasi North.

"I provided financial support to junior high school students transitioning to senior high schools, to assist them in their academic pursuits", he revealed.

He said he was committed to transform Ellembelle constituency and appealed to the good people of Ellembelle constituency to retain him and vote massively for John Mahama.

The sub chief and the Ellembelle District Health Director commended Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah for the facility.

They promised to maintain the facility to serve its intended purpose.

The community members promised to vote massively for Armah-Kofi Buah on December 7th 2024 to continue his good works in the constituency.
