Former Western Regional Secretary of Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Zambaga Rufai Saminu says, Ghanaians are voting for President John Dramani Mahama on December 7th due to hardship in the country.

According to him, the electorates are obviously hungry and angry due to failed policies and programmes of the administration of President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.

Speaking in an interview, he said "Independently speak to ordinary Ghanaians, including pensioners, not just the few privileged NPP appointees, they will tell you that all their savings made right from the administration of President Jerry John Rawlings to President John Dramani Mahama, have all been spent under the current administration due to hardship.

"My brother, this hardship has been orchestrated by the collapse of businesses, high cost of living, and growing unemployment. Don't be deceived by the flashy lifestyle of the few government appointees, virtually everyone including NPP members are struggling to survive "

Under the circumstance, he said one cannot say you want to be neutral.

"Neutral for what, neutral in the midst of this excruciating hardship, except that you are part of the few privileged government appointees, and cronies who have become millionaires and billionaires suddenly"

To him, President Akufo-Addo, has exasperated Ghanaian electorates and they would demonstrate that clearly at the polls.

" The December 7th polls will provide an opportunity for Ghanaians to express their disgust, and disquiet about the pain and torment they went through under the current administration" he emphasised

The very people who voted for President Akufo-Addo and the NPP in 2020, he observed have even regretted, how much more those who didn't vote for the NPP" he added.

"This must tell you that change of government has become eminently clear and nothing can stop it"

The former TEIN President of Kings University College, (KUC) launched blistering attack on government for destroying the country with so much deception and lies.

He says, the government of President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo would go down in history as one of the worse in Africa.

"The unaccountable scandals are not enough, and they still want to be in power, can you imagine, how"? He questioned.

Explaining why Ghanaian electorates must use the December elections to show the New Patriotic Party (NPP)an exit door in government, the outspoken former Western Regional Secretary of GJA said a vast majority of Ghanaians are hungry and therefore, are angry with the administration of President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.

"You know why many Ghanaians are unhappy, it is because they have lost their savings.

He added "Speak to ordinary Ghanaians, not the few privileged NPP appointees or their cronies, they will tell you that all their savings made right from the administration of President Jerry John Rawlings, John Agyemum Kufuor, Professor John Evans Atta Mills, and to President John Dramani Mahama, have all been spent under the current administration due to unbearable hardship engineered by one family leading to the collapse of businesses, increased high cost of living, and growing unemployment in the last eight years.

Under the circumstance, the NDC branch organiser said the December elections would provide the Ghanaian electorate an opportunity to change the cause of governance required to improve the welfare and well-being of Ghanaians.

"This is why one cannot say you want to be neutral, neutral for what, neutral in the midst of bad governance, excruciating hardship? except that you are part of the problem.

According to the former TEIN President, President Akufo-Addo has really exasperated Ghanaian electorates and they would demonstrate that clearly at the polls.

"The December 7th polls would provide an opportunity for Ghanaians to express their disgust, and disquiet about the pain and torment they have been going through under the current administration" he noted.

Zambaga Rufai Saminu said the very people who voted for President Akufo-Addo and the NPP in 2020, have since regretted. "How much more those who didn't vote for the NPP? This tells you that change in December has not become necessary but certainly would become automatic no matter what"

Explaining exactly what is promoting lack of patriotism under the supervision of President Akufo-Addo, he observed "my brother, there are many stalwarts within government and within the NPP who can read in between the lines and cannot fathom what's happening to our country, but they are quiet, why, because they want to protect the interest of their party.

I want to remind them, that they must be kind to our country, fair to the people of Ghana, and patriotic enough to join the effort to get this administration out of power, else posterity would not be fair to them and history would not be kind to their party"

The ace Journalist, said Ghanaians who are not talking, but are all aware of the bad governance the country is experiencing are worse than those who are talking rubbish and defending the bad governance.

"Your silence has indeed emboldened criminals and fraudsters. We must all speak up, and restore hope in our people for present and future generations" he stressed.

Adding "Ghana belongs to us all. Unfortunately, many have died, a few of us are still living, but countless hosts are still unborn, therefore, if you are part of those who are living, make your voice count, let's match out this government and reset our country" he concluded.
