A fast-rising artist from Brenu Akyinim, Rabbito GH, organised a heartwarming party for over 80 aged persons in Brenu Akyinim, a famous community in the KEEA Municipality, on New Year's Day.

The event, which sought to bring the aged together to reminisce about their past experiences regarding Brenu Akyinim Bronya on New Year's Day, also served as a platform for the aged to enjoy themselves.

Explaining the rationale behind his programme, Rabbito stated that he drew inspiration from his recent experiences with his late grandma, who died recently at the age of 89. He underscored, “My regular encounters with my grandma, who passed away recently, inspired me to put this together because I felt her loneliness - she had no classmates, no reunions with her age group, as her peers faded out with time”, stated Rabbito

Clarifying further, he highlighted that the purpose was mainly to bring these aged people together to have fun, reunite, and dance, emphasizing its significance in helping them exercise their weak muscles in the best way they could. "If it was all about what they would eat and drink, their grandchildren could have even done better for them," he added.

He gave an assurance that the programme would become an annual event where all the aged in the community would be celebrated in a unique way every year, as part of his desire to put smiles on their faces.

Opanyin John Ackoh, on behalf of his fellow celebrators, sincerely thanked the organiser of the event and prayed that others could come onboard so that the party for the aged could be sustained annually.

The New Year’s Day event was a precursor to a major event the upcoming artist intended to host at the Old Lorry Station on the 4th to entertain his kinsmen with his yet to release banger “Odo Last”.

The mega concert on Saturday, 4th January, will witness performances by Cape Coast-based famous artist Orkortor Perry and Qwesi Ghana from Takoradi, while other supporting "underground artists" from Takoradi, Cape Coast, Accra, and Kumasi have been billed for the night.

"You will agree with me that the vision of every young artist is to break through and rise to stardom, and you know that while some achieve it easily, others will have to struggle to get to the top", he revealed.

And since charity begins at home, I am here to showcase my talents to my people and the feeling is already great for me because some people have travelled from afar to come and witness this show. I am going to pour out my heart and soul and give them the best performance,” said Rabbito.
