With a passion to support the less privileged and put smile on their faces, G- WHO Tippe Widows and Widowers Support, a Non-Governmental Organisation has defrayed the medical bills for some nursing mothers and widows children at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The magnanimous gesture took place at the Children's Department of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
G- WHO Tippe Widows and Widowers Support team led by H.E.Amb Dr. Rejoice Wodomdedzi Foli (CEO of G-Wealth Health Organisation) noted they committed ¢10,000 to support the widows and nursing mothers. "We earmarked ¢4,000 to settle the medical bills and the ¢6000 as financial support for the businesses of individual widows", she stated.
With the prevailing cost of living rising, Dr. Foli stressed that has worsened the plight of widows. She adds, couples find it difficult to makes ends meet, emphasising losing a partner and it's consequent effect of making one a widow or widower makes the person worse off, hence their decision to help.
Widows and nursing mothers who benefited from the G- WHO Tippe Widows and Widowers Support gesture were very appreciative and thanked them profusely. The team encouraged them not to despair in life just because they are widows but should judiciously use the financial support provided to improve upon their business thereby making them self-sufficient.
H.E.Amb Dr. Rejoice Wodomdedzi Foli was in the company of Mrs. Emma Wartemberg ( Exec Member), Mrs. Annie Doe (Exec Member, and Madam Ivy Amy Lawson ( Exec Member).
