In an electrifying interview with popular radio personality GH Kojo Andoh on YES FM in Cape Coast, Mr. Hutchful, a prominent business mogul and former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has made bold promises about the future of the Cape Coast Metropolis.

Known affectionately as Oguaa Okoto, Mr. Hutchful urged the people of Cape Coast to rally behind Mr. Alan Kyerematen in his bid for the presidency, while expressing his own aspirations to serve as Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE).

Mr. Hutchful declared that, if appointed as MCE, he would not take a salary, a move he described as a personal commitment to prioritizing the needs of Cape Coast. “I will not take a salary as MCE. All I need is four years, and I will transform Cape Coast into a city of fortune,” he confidently stated.

A central pillar of Mr. Hutchful’s vision is addressing Cape Coast’s long-standing housing challenges. He promised to make housing problems a thing of the past, emphasizing the importance of providing affordable and sustainable living solutions for residents.

In addition to his development plans, Mr. Hutchful pledged to construct an ultramodern palace for the Paramount Chief of the Oguaa Traditional Council. This, he explained, is part of his broader goal to enhance the cultural and historical significance of Cape Coast while fostering unity and pride among the people.

Mr. Hutchful’s overarching vision is to position Cape Coast as a leading city in Ghana within four years. From housing reforms to infrastructural development and cultural preservation, his ambitious promises have generated widespread conversation among residents and political analysts.

The call to support Mr. Alan Kyerematen’s presidential ambitions and Mr. Hutchful’s vision for the metropolis has set the stage for a potentially transformative chapter in Cape Coast’s history. As the 2024 elections draw near, the people of Cape Coast must decide whether Mr. Hutchful’s promises represent the leadership they need to achieve a brighter future.
