Kingdom FM gifts people with Disabilities fridges, Pop Corn machine, bags of sachet water to live active lives.

The Management of Kingdom FM, a local private radio station based in Mankessim of the Central Region has generously donated items and some cash amounts to persons with disability to climax their 8th anniversary celebrations.

The times donated included fridges, over 100 bags of sachet water to some people with disabilities with the aim to support them live active lives.

Again, the management of the popular Mankessim FM station also gave out popcorn machine, cash donations ranging from ¢500 to ¢1000 extended to widows and widowers as well other less privileged. This benevolent gesture was to encourage them start their own businesses in order to live meaningful lives.

Other less privileged in society including orphans and the aged present at the function were given pieces of clothes, bags of rice, cooking oil, tomoto paste, brand new second hand clothes, and shoes.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Management in Wednesday, 18th December, 2024 at Mankessim, the Morning Show host at the station, Mr. Adu Gyamfi Marfo explained that the gesture aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the widows, widowers and orphans especially during this Yuletide seasons.

He again disclosed that the presentation of fridges, popcorn machine as well as cash, aims to significantly contribute to building a better financial future for people with disabilities and their families irrespective of their conditions.

A beneficiary, Kwame Abiw who went home with a brand new refrigerator speaking to the media recounted with tears how difficult the journey had been for him after his wife absconded leaving him to cater for their son alone. He thanked the leadership of Kingdom FM for initiating the support scheme, hoping to better his life with the refrigerator.
