In an effort to help humanity appreciate the nuance between Jesus and Christ, the founder of The Way Networks has offered some compelling spiritual insights aimed at helping believers differentiate between the person Jesus and the Christ.
He emphasised that Jesus was born, but Christ is a spirit that inhabited Jesus' body, and Christ's spirit resides in every human being, generally referred to as the self.
In a grueling interview on the Happy 98.9 FM YouTube channel, Mr. Mensah provided deep insights, arguing that Christ is a universal spirit identified by different groups or religions with different names and cannot be personified by any religion. "While Christians call that spirit 'Christ', others have different names for the same spirit from different jurisdictions," he stated.
Buttressing his point with the Bible, he referenced John 14:6, “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me,’” he quoted, highlighting the Christ aspect of Jesus. He explained that the functionality of the spirit 'Christ' resides in everyone and is what connects humanity to God.
It was his considered view that the most generic name for this 'Christ' spirit is the 'SELF'. As the SELF has no identity, I have my 'self', you have your 'self', and everyone has that essence of the self. That spirit (self) was not conceived but transmitted, he emphasized. Adding that this is what the Bible calls the breath of life, he revealed that it was conceived in thought, a higher energy field, not through sexual intercourse, the lower field.
Further, he expatiated that in the Bible's creation story, it is recorded that after God had finished forming man (matter), He breathed into him and man became a living soul. "That power was not created, but God (the Divine or the Source, which is beyond existence) breathed (transmitted) its premier energy into existence to dwell in man, for man (matter) to become a conscious (atomic) living soul." Stressing that "the 'Self' (known in science as atomic energy) that gives life force to man (matter), connecting us to God (Divinity), is what Christians call 'THE CHRIST'," he shared.
He underscored the point that without that 'Divine Self', there was no way any human could connect to God. That 'self' is called Christ. So, speaking from the Christian perspective, I can confidently say that without Christ (i.e., the Divine Self resident in Jesus), you cannot know God (John 17:3).
That is not to personify Christ for Christians, but different religions have different names for that same Christ spirit (i.e., the self) dwelling within every soul. This power, which we call Christ, gives life, liberation, and redemption to all who come to accept it through attainment, in my opinion and realization. It is the only important aspect of any man seeking spiritual growth and divine connectivity. It all begins with going within yourself, the seat of Christ.
As humanity grapples with finding ingenious ways to commune with the Divine, the Way Network founder has provided some deep insights worth studying. The more humans come to the realization that the Christ (i.e., self) resides in everyone, the more we may be inclined to do a bit more to establish a link between us, the Christ self within, and the Source we call God.
