Blogger Ato Kwamena Gomez has penned an open letter to Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills, appealing for a good road from Atabadze to Bantuma. The letter, written on behalf of the people of Atabadze-Pershie-Bantuma, highlights the urgent need for a reliable road network in the area.
Gomez cites two key reasons why the Atabadze to Bantuma road requires immediate attention. Firstly, the road serves as a vital escape route in case of emergencies on the Takoradi-Cape Coast highway. Secondly, the road is home to several hotels that cater to tourists visiting the historic Elmina Castle, a significant contributor to the local economy.
While some may argue that road maintenance is not the responsibility of the Member of Parliament, Gomez believes that Hon. Atta-Mills can use his position to lobby for funds to fix the road. With his second term as MP set to begin on January 7th, 2025, Gomez and the people of Atabadze-Pershie-Bantuma are hopeful that their plea will be heard.
As the people of Atabadze-Pershie-Bantuma await a response from Hon. Atta-Mills, one thing is clear: the need for a good road from Atabadze to Bantuma is urgent, and it requires immediate attention from the relevant authorities.

Dear Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills
On behalf of the people of Atabadze - Pershie - Bantuma, we are on our knees begging you to for a good road from Atabadze to Bantuma.
Just to mention few, the reasons why this road needs to be fixed under your four-year turn as an MP beginning from 7th January 2025 are:
1. The Atabadze to Bantuma road serves as an escape route to enter or get out of Elmina if there is an emergency on the Takoradi-Cape Coast highway.
2. Most of the hotels the tourist and visitors lodge any time they visit Elmina Castle can be located alone this road and we all know the role tourism plays in the economy of this country.
I know many would argue it is not the duty of the MP to fix roads, but I strongly believe with your position you can lobby for some funds to fix this road for the good people of Atabadze to Bantuma.
Thanks you
