The official presidential results for each contender in the general elections of 2024 have been made public by the Electoral Commission (EC).
This outcome is an update to the results issued by the EC on December 9, 2024, when John Dramani Mahama, a candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was declared the victor.
With 6,328,397 votes, or 56.55% of the valid votes cast, Mahama defeated his main opponent, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who received 4,657,304 votes, or 41.61%, according to the Electoral Commission's (EC) announcement on Monday, December 9.
John Mahama, however, won 6,591,790, or 56.42%, on an updated list of 275 out of 276 constituencies. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia received 41.75%, or 4,877,611.
Nana Kwame Bediako, the Independent Candidate, secured 88,944, representing 0.76%, while Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Independent Candidate, polled 32,457, representing 0.28%
