A victory float was recently organized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) executives of Elmina, which is located in the Komenda/Edina/Eguafo/Abirem (K.E.E.A.) municipality, Central Region, Ghana. The float's goal is to commemorate their impending election triumph on December 7.

With party members, sympathizers, and local leaders on board, the NDC's victory float in Elmina was probably a lively celebration. The celebration might have featured speeches, dancing, and music that highlighted the party's accomplishments and future goals.

Speaking to the gathering, Hon. Samuel Atta Mills, the current and prospective MP for K.E.E.A., stated that their win would provide employment opportunities for young people and place women in manual labor positions that are entirely funded by them.

He also mentioned that when the NDC is voted into power, they will abolish the closed season implemented by the NPP government and give fishermen full control to go to sea every day.

He added that if the NDC is elected to power, they will end the NPP government's closed season and allow fisherman to go out to sea whenever they want.

"When we gain power, we will end the closed season." Over the years, our fishing has been happening every day, and that’s what we planned on doing. We shouldn’t give the NPP the chance for any woman to hold a wood and tell us not to go fishing. This shouldn’t happen again.”

Additionally, he stated that saiko fishing will recover since it provided a useful means for those with lower incomes to purchase fish for their families.

He concluded by promising the public that the NPP's unlawful actions regarding premix fuel would be investigated and that those responsible would receive justice.
