As I prepare to unveil my debut single, "Can't Let Her Go," I reflect on the incredible journey that brought me here.
My passion for music ignited in primary school, where I joined the Methodist Church Junior Choir, thanks to my supportive grandmother.
However, my father had other plans as he envisioned a law career for me, not music. Undeterred, I pursued my dreams, drawing inspiration from Kwami Eugene, my role model. I even snuck away from school to meet him, and his encouraging words fueled my determination.
Despite facing setbacks, including my father discarding many of my recorded songs, I persevered. I honed my skills as a video editor and sound engineer, driven by my unwavering love for music.
A pivotal moment arrived when I met Blark Tana, and recorded a song with him without the notice of my father. When my father heard my debut single, and his skepticism transformed into enthusiasm. He not only endorsed my music but also signed a contract to support my career.
Have also had the opportunity to meet with industry legends like award-winning sound engineer Oja 420, AYP and luigeeBeatz and music icon Dada KD.
In a heartfelt tribute, I'm releasing "Can't Let Her Go" on my grandmother's birthday, celebrating the woman who nurtured my musical aspirations. This song embodies my gratitude and love for her.
