Global Brigades Ghana Empowers Kwamankese Communities with Essential Infrastructure

In a significant effort to improve the lives of rural but deprived communities, Global Brigades Ghana has successfully implemented a series of projects in the Kwamankese area. Three towns, namely Nyame Bekyere, Brenyi, and Ayeldu, have benefited from the program, which aims to provide access to clean water, promote education, and support healthcare development.

The people of Nyame Bekyere and Brenyi can now enjoy access to clean drinking water, thanks to the installation of pipe-borne water systems. Nana Okufo Gyasi Atala VII, Omanhene of Nyame Bekyere, expressed his gratitude to Global Brigades Ghana and promised to maintain the water system.

Mr. Bismark Antwi, Principal IT Specialist for Community Water and Sanitation, Cape Coast, emphasized the importance of proper hygiene practices to avoid waterborne illnesses.

Ayeldu has received a significant boost in education and healthcare infrastructure. The community ICT center has been equipped with 15 computers, donated by Montgomery Bell Academy High School in the USA. Additionally, an autoclave machine has been installed at the chip compound to enhance healthcare services. Omanhene of Kwamankese


The Paramount Chief of Kwamankese Traditional Area, Okakaben Idun Andoh X, thanked Global Brigades Ghana for their support and assured that measures will be taken to maintain the donatedequipments.



Global Brigades Ghana's Executive Director, Alhaji Shafiu Shaibu, explained that the organization seeks to empower communities with a conducive environment, better road networks, and provides community support. He highlighted partnerships with key stakeholders, including the Ghana Health Service, Community Water and Sanitation, and local communities aimed at assisting deprived communities with the little resources they have.



By providing access to clean water, promoting education, and supporting economic development, Global Brigades Ghana is making a positive impact on the lives of


rural communities in Ghana.
