Jamie Foxx, a Hollywood musician and actor, has talked candidly about the health concern that sent him to the hospital in April of last year.
Foxx disclosed candidly in a Netflix show that he experienced a "brain bleed that led to a stroke," which started with an intense headache.Foxx lost consciousness before he could even take an aspirin, and he didn't realize he was sick for 20 days.
The first public disclosure of Foxx's health problem was made by his daughter, Corinne Foxx, who declared that her father had suffered a "medical complication" but did not provide any further information at the time.
Foxx revealed that after receiving a cortisone injection, paramedics first sent him home, which is when things took an unexpected turn. His sister, however, insisted on sending him to Piedmont Hospital after noticing his strange behavior, and the medical staff promptly determined that he had a brain bleed. The medical staff cautioned that in order to avoid deadly outcomes, surgery was required immediately.
Foxx talked about the incident with amazing composure, despite the seriousness of the situation. In contrast to the common "life flashing before your eyes" scenario that many people associate with near-death experiences, he described having a serene, tunnel-like vision. Foxx even made a joke about how hot it was in the tunnel and questioned whether he was going in the wrong direction.
Although a full recovery was conceivable, the actor's physicians assured his family that it would be a challenging process. When the health issue arose, Foxx was working with Cameron Diaz on the Netflix feature Back In Action.
Foxx has been extremely appreciative of his loved ones' support since his recuperation. This Netflix special gives viewers a closer look at Foxx's struggle and resiliency by disclosing the specifics of his health fight for the first time.
