December 26th, 2024, will be a day to remember for the kids of Asebu, as they were treated to a special Christmas celebration dubbed "Christmas Soup Kitchen." The event, organized by outgoing Member of Parliament for Asebu Abura Kwamankese District, Hon. Elvis Morris Donkoh, and renowned Ghanaian gospel minister, Mr. Noble Nketsiah, aimed to bring smiles to the faces of the children and provide them with a fun-filled day.
Speaking to reporter Dj Qwequ on the reasons for such celebrations, Hon. Donkoh said the event was necessary and for a good cause, as it would put smiles on the children's faces and ensure they enjoyed the day. Mr. Noble Nketsiah, who joined forces with his elder brother Hon. Elvis, saw this as an opportunity to fulfill his social responsibilities and make a positive impact on the lives of the children.
The event was packed with exciting activities, including an eating competition, dancing competition, questions, and answers, with prizes awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd winners. Min. Nketsiah also took the stage to minister his songs to the kids and parents present.
Expressing his satisfaction with the event's progress, Min. Nketsiah noted that the increasing number of participants each year was a testament to the success of the initiative. He hopes to extend the celebration to other nearby communities in the future. With funding coming from the out-going MP, The Noble Nketsiah Foundation, as a major contributor to the event with support from donors all over the world, with massive support from donors all over the world, is committed to being there for kids always and teaching them the value of sharing.
The event, held at the Asebu community center, concluded with each child receiving food, drinks, and water. This heartwarming initiative is a shining example of the positive impact that community leaders and organizations can have on the lives of those in need.
