Regarding his 2022 hit song "On God," Ghanaian dancehall legend Shatta Wale made the shocking assertion that angels were in his room while it was being recorded.
Shatta Wale discussed the anthem's inspiration in a private interview on Efia Odo's "Rants, Bants and Confessions" program. He disclosed that his creativity was stimulated by industry parallels between himself and Black Sherif.
Shatta Wale clarified, "I was inspired by the skeptics and doubters who positioned me against Black Sherif." "That energy drove me to create something special, and 'On God' was born."
The "Kakai" hitmaker, who is well-known for his inventiveness and adaptability, enthralled fans with "On God," solidifying his place as a pioneer in Ghanaian music.
There was a lot of comparison when Black Sherif was released, and I just chuckled because I ruin people's careers. I was inspired to write "On God" when they began saying that because I thought, "God, why are you forcing these people to do this to me?" Angels were seated with me as I began to play something in my chamber.
Before it was released, I found the song to be really spiritual. I sometimes say, "Please, don't try to fight what you don't know," when I sit down and look at all these comparisons.
For example, you will undoubtedly run if you see a lion escape its cage at the zoo, but you will strike a mouse if you see one.
“Shatta Wale is a kind of spirit that when you touch, it’s so serious that Angel Michael gets pissed. Noah will bore, Shedrack, Meshack and Abednego will all will not happy because I’m like a burning furnace,” he stated.
He went on to boast that in the Ghanaian entertainment fraternity, “I am like the phoenix.”
