Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the parliamentary candidate for the Amenfi Central Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reportedly been attacked.

On November 30, 2024, during the last leg of her campaign before the general elections, the event took place in Adjakamanso in the Western Region.

The attackers allegedly mistook her RAM campaign vehicle for her usual campaign van and targeted it.Members of her campaign team were allegedly physically attacked by the attackers, who also shattered the car's windows and cracked the windscreen.

Mrs. Gyan Cudjoe was not in the targeted car when the attack occurred; she had started her campaign trip earlier that day, visiting other areas in the constituency.

Since then, the campaign team has formally complained to the Wassa Dominase Police Station, and an inquiry into the incident is anticipated to begin.

Many people are appealing for calm and the implementation of security measures to safeguard the safety of all candidates and supporters in light of this attack, which has heightened concerns about political violence in the run-up to the elections on December 7.
