Following the death of his father, Engineer John William Kudzo Anato-Dumelo Snr., Ghanaian politician and actor John Dumelo is in sorrow.

His age was 75.

In a moving eulogy posted on social media, Dumelo talked about his last hours with his father, including their final chat just hours before he passed away.

He died in spite of attempts to take him to the hospital right away.


He described how his father had given him advise on his impending swearing-in ceremony and they had talked about politics, life, farming, and business.

Unfortunately, according to Dumelo, he learned that his father had stopped responding soon after they met.


Dumelo expressed gratitude to his father for being a pillar of support, calling him his “best friend” and “number one cheerleader.” He also paid tribute to his father’s legacy and sent heartfelt regards to his late mother.
