The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II's convoy was allegedly attacked at Techiman, Bono East Region, and the Ghana Police Service has opened an investigation into the incident.

According to reports, the Asantehene was returning from a burial in Nkoranza when the tragedy occurred. Initial reports indicate that some people, allegedly young people from Techiman, threw stones at the convoy's buses.

The police promised the public in a statement that they were committed to learning the case's facts. They mentioned that in order to support the probe, they are interacting with the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi as well as other important Techiman parties.

Because of the Asantehene's renowned reputation and the historical significance of peaceful intercommunal cooperation, the episode has garnered attention. As they attempt to determine the circumstances behind the alleged attack, the police have asked for patience.
