Ghana is in crisis, according to President John Dramani Mahama's sobering assessment of the nation's current situation.

Mahama was blunt about the seriousness of the issue as he gave Parliament his first State of the Nation Address of his second term on Thursday, February 27.

He said, "I am sad to report that the state of our nation is not good," emphasizing the dire economic situation and the extraordinary struggles that Ghanaians are facing.

The president underlined that the Finance Minister's budget presentation on March 11 and the forthcoming National Economic Dialogue, which is set for March 3 and 4, will offer a thorough analysis of the country's economic problems and suggest potential remedies.
