Chaos at collation centers—Electoral Commission halts Ablekuma North results

The Electoral Commission (EC) has suspended the collation of results for Ablekuma North following violent disruptions by political party supporters. Reports of vandalism, physical assaults on EC staff, and destruction of vital election documents, such as pink sheets, have plagued collation centres in the constituency.

These actions mirror similar disturbances in Dome Kwabenya, Tema Central, and Ayensuano, where property damage and threats have obstructed legal procedures.

The EC urges political parties to withdraw their supporters and assures the public that collation will resume under secure conditions to uphold electoral integrity.
