The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has raised concerns over recent mob attempts to disarm military personnel assisting police in maintaining order nationwide. In a press release dated 10th December 2024, the GAF stressed that military personnel have the right to defend themselves, civilians, and property, including the use of lethal force if necessary.

The GAF urged the public to exercise civic responsibilities responsibly and to cooperate with security personnel, reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding national peace and stability.
