In a fiery interview this morning on Ade3 Akye Abia with host Kwame Nkrumah Tikese3 on Okay FM, Prophet Dr. Isaac Owusu Bempah, the founder of Glorious Word and Power Ministries, once again made headlines with his bold prophecies regarding the 2024 elections. Known for his close ties to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and his accurate predictions of the NPP’s victories in 2016 and 2020, Prophet Bempah's latest statements have sent shockwaves through political circles, particularly among NPP sympathisers.
During the interview, Kwame Nkrumah Tikese3 questioned Prophet Bempah about recent claims that he was now backing John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) due to his displeasure with how the NPP has treated him in recent times, especially after his arrest over a case that left him feeling disrespected.
In response, the prophet dismissed those claims, stating emphatically, “I am not prophesying out of sentiment. I say what God tells me. I am God’s servant, and I go where He directs me.” He stressed that his words were divine revelations and not influenced by his personal grievances with the NPP.
Warning to the NPP
Prophet Bempah went further to make a startling claim that if the NPP continues to provoke him, he would spiritually cause them to lose significant support in their stronghold, the Ashanti Region. He warned, “If I go to Ashanti Region, the NPP won’t get even 60%. God has given power to prophets, and I am capable of doing that.”
Referencing a vision he had in 2015, he explained, “I saw that after Akufo-Addo, if the NPP does not do things right, they will go to opposition. I am not hungry, so they shouldn’t say I’ve been bribed to prophesy.” He further stated that no force, whether physical or spiritual, can harm him, adding, “Any IGP that has ever arrested me has faced consequences.”
Mahama Cleansed by Powerful Hands
Tikese3 also brought up the controversial statement Prophet Bempah made years ago, where he declared that John Mahama had stained his hands with blood and, as a result, would never become President again. Addressing this, the Prophet revealed that Mahama had since been cleansed, saying, “That is why he needed strong hands like mine and Duncan Williams to touch him. We touched him, and he’s been cleansed.”
He confidently reiterated his prophecy that Mahama would win the 2024 elections, stating, “I’ve said Mahama will win, and nobody can change it. God has decided already; the NPP should prepare to go to opposition.”
Spiritual Power and Warnings
As the interview continued, Prophet Bempah issued a warning to NPP supporters who have been attacking him on social media, declaring that if they do not stop, he will go to the Ashanti Region and ensure that the party loses a significant portion of its votes. He emphasised the spiritual authority he holds, saying, “We shall see that in spirituality, there are levels. I will show them where power lies.”
In a final word on Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who once visited his church, Prophet Bempah clarified that while he praised Bawumia as a good man, he never prophesied that he would become President. “I didn’t say he’ll become President,” he stated.
As the political tension continues to rise ahead of the 2024 elections, these statements from Prophet Owusu Bempah have added a new layer of intrigue to an already charged atmosphere. With the NPP facing internal and external challenges, and the NDC gearing up for a fierce contest, Ghanaians will be closely watching how events unfold in the coming months.
