Winpiini Wins Happy Man Bitters-Miss Upper East Ghana 2024

The much-anticipated grand finale of the 7th edition of Happy Man Bitters Miss Upper East Ghana took center stage on December 30, 2024, at the GNAT Hall in the regional capital. The event was a spectacular celebration of culture, beauty, and intelligence, as the brightest young women from across the Upper East Region showcased their skills, talents, and passion for community development.

At the end of the electrifying competition, Winpiini (Saiba Zulfatu) from Bawkzua, Bawku West District, emerged victorious, earning the coveted title of Miss Upper East Ghana 2024. Her poise, eloquence, and commitment to her community's development set her apart as a true queen. As the winner, Winpiini walked away with a brand-new car and an all-expenses-paid trip to Accra, signaling the start of an exciting journey as a cultural ambassador for the region.

Winpiini triumphed over formidable contenders, including:

1st Runner-Up: Afelie (Abunlog Selina Afelie) from Wiaga, Builsa District, who earned GHS 8,000 and a trip to Accra.


2nd Runner-Up: Akempu-usa (Atorigo Augustina Akempu-usa) from Kandiga, Kassena Nankana West, awarded GHS 5,000 and a trip to Accra.


Other finalists also made their mark:



3rd Runner-Up: Miss Asoze (Abugre Mahmudu Sakinatu) – Bawku Municipal (GHS 2,000).
4th Runner-Up: Miss Toateba (Toateba Deborah) – Baare, Talensi District (GHS 2,000).
5th Runner-Up: Miss Aposiyine (Amoah Aposiyine Winifred) – Koka, Bolgatanga East District.
6th Runner-Up: Miss Ayinpoka (Ayamga Rita Ayinpoka) – Bolgatanga Municipal.
7th Runner-Up: Miss Amisonga (Freda Nsobila Amisonga) – Winkongo, Talensi District.

Special Awards and Recognition
Several contestants were also recognized for excelling in specific categories, further highlighting the diverse talents on display:

Best Task 1: Miss Amisonga.
Best Election Message (Task 2): Miss Afelie.
Best Project: Miss Nyanebu.
Miss Photogenic: Miss Afelie.
Top Model: Miss Aposiyine.
Best Costume: Miss Maalie.
Miss Culture: Miss Akempu-usa.
Miss Tourism: Miss Afelie.
Miss Tap Hotel: Miss Toateba.
In addition, the Grace Group Top Two Cultural Performances were delivered by Miss Toateba and Miss Afelie, captivating the audience with their creative interpretations of the region's rich traditions.

The Happy Man Bitters Miss Upper East Ghana is more than just a beauty pageant—it is a platform for empowering young women to lead change and preserve their cultural heritage. This year’s event, themed around cultural pride and social impact, drew an enthusiastic crowd and received accolades for its organization and impact.

As the new queen, Winpiini is set to champion initiatives that uplift communities across the region. Her win is not only a personal triumph but also a demonstration to the resilience, talent, and ambition of the young women in the Upper East Region.
