Bishop Salifu Amoako and his wife, Mouha Amoako, have been granted bail of GH₵50,000 each following their arrest in connection with a tragic car accident involving their son. The accident, which took place in East Legon on October 12, 2024, led to the unfortunate deaths of two 12-year-old children after a collision between their son’s Jaguar SUV and another vehicle. The crash caused both cars to catch fire, and despite rescue efforts, two occupants of the second car were fatally injured.
Their 16-year-old son, Elrad Salifu Amoako, was reportedly driving his mother’s vehicle at the time of the incident. As investigations continue, the couple has been cooperating with authorities to help unravel the details surrounding the crash.
This incident has stirred public conversations about the responsibilities of parents in ensuring the safety and legality of their children’s driving habits, as well as the tragic consequences of reckless driving.
