Ghanaian blogger Harry Ahovi presented his Best Blogger of the year award won at the Volta Media Excellence Awards to Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome.

Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome is the ranking member on Sports committee and and the chairman of the parliament committee. He is also the member of parliament for South Tongu constituency who doubles as the Vice Chairman of the Volta Caucus MPs.

Below is his statement after the meeting:

I was happy to have the “Best Blogger In Volta Region” at the just ended Volta Media Excellence Awards - VMEAs paying me a visit at the Parliament House last week. He presented his awards from last year and this year emphasizing his hardwork and commitment to projecting the Region.

Winnng this back to back is not a small feet. I remember we did a lot of work during the “Akosombo Dam Spillage”, he stood tall in reporting to other media houses both day and night.

The entire South Tongu is proud of you and I want to use this medium to congratulate you and on behalf of the entire constituents and once again on behalf of H.E John Dramani Mahama . I always believe that South Tongu has the men, and eventually, our youth will climb the ladder of success



As we approach the December elections, I will urge the media to be careful in their reportage to avoid causing fear and panic.



Congratulations to you Mr. Harry Ahovi for achieving this feet. This shouldn’t be the end but rather the beginning. Keep doing more fearless and accurate reports that will help shape our region.
