The St Joseph Anglican Church’s 80th anniversary marked a significant achievement in the history of the church citing God’s blessings and mercies as the cornerstone of its success.
On Sunday, October 27, 2024, the St. Joseph Anglican Church celebrated its 80th Anniversary, graced by the presence of former President and NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama. Attending as a special guest, Mahama brought added excitement and significance to this milestone celebration.
Joining H.E. Mahama were prominent NDC figures, including Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, former Director of Elections and former Sports Minister, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo (PhD), former National Chairman, Regional Chairman Mr. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, NDC parliamentary candidate for Okaikwei South Ernest Adomako (Keon), and Ambassadors Victor Smith and Zita S. Okaikoi, among others. Also in attendance were Mr. Danny Annan, former Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Madam Benita Sena Okity-Duah, former Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku, and various constituency executives.
In a generous show of support, President Mahama and the NDC delegation donated GHS 20,000 to the church. During his remarks, President Mahama urged the congregation to be actively involved in the agenda to reset Ghana, assuring that under his leadership, the NDC would ensure peace throughout the upcoming December elections.
