The unfortunate death of a nine-year-old girl in Aberewa Nkwanta in the Eastern Region's New Juaben South Constituency is being looked into by the Koforidua Divisional Command.

The small child, who was in the care of their father, drowned in a swimming pool at the Tonyx Hotel near Aberewa Nkwanta in Koforidua on Sunday.

The incident's specifics are still unknown. According to reports, the girl was taking photos near the poolside with other kids rather than swimming.

Sadly, when the family learned she was missing as they were getting ready to depart, they assembled a search party and found her at the bottom of the pool.

Shortly after being pulled from the pool, she was taken to the Eastern Regional Hospital, where medical staff declared her dead upon arrival.

The hotel's management is likely to speak to the media about the incident and has promised to help the authorities with their investigations.
