Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the chairperson of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Team, has accused the Office of the President of receiving GH₵60 million for "special operations" just days before Akufo-Addo's term was coming to a close.

The member of parliament for North Tongu has voiced reservations about the deal, calling it a concerning example of financial irresponsibility.

According to him, the transfer was made on December 23, 2024, at 4:38 PM, using what he called "unimpeachable tracking."

In a Facebook post, Mr. Ablakwa made the accusations and charged that the Akufo-Addo-led administration was giving questionable spending priority.

"With only a few days remaining for President Akufo-Addo to turn over, why has a staggering GH₵60 million been transferred to the Office of the President for so-called "Special Operations"?" He asked.

Akufo-Addo's "Special Operations" toward the end of his term should take precedence over debilitating arrears at WAEC, CHASS, CETAG, Free SHS Secretariat, IPPs, NaBCo, and other organizations, according to parts of the article.

Prior to the changeover to the Mahama-led government, the member further charged that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration was trying to "empty the national coffers."

"Ghana must immediately examine new legislation to curb extravagant spending, new questionable contracts, and mass hiring during transitions," Mr. Ablakwa stated.
