Nana Boadi Amponim Abodade III, the Krontihene of Akyem Asoum, has given his frank opinion on the legacy of outgoing President Nana Akufo-Addo.

While acknowledging the President's remarkable ability to quell criticism, the chief stated in a recent interview that this achievement was met with a mixture of skepticism and amazement.

There was something admirable in Lucifer as well. They claimed that his voice was wonderful and that he was a good singer. In his opening remarks for his examination of the president's tenure, Nana Boadi stated, "Lucifer, yes, so definitely, there will be something good about Nana Akufo-Addo."

The Krontihene listed President Akufo-Addo's ability to keep influential members of society, like as the media, chiefs, and church, oddly mute on important national matters as one of his "good things."

"All of the vocal individuals, including the chiefs, the clergy, and the media, suddenly fell silent. Nana Boadi noted, "You see, even the strongest of minds could bend when you have about 32 million people breathing down your neck with 32 million problems."

He went on, "Yes, some of us find his skill to subdue them and keep them quiet to be fascinating. So, certainly, he was good in that situation. However, we are also keeping an eye on things now that a new president has been elected. Those who were kept silent are being watched by eyes.

The traditional leader issued a warning, saying that people would not be afraid to expose hypocrisy by those who had been quiet under President Akufo-Addo.

"We will inform them that, indeed, they are the saboteurs and hypocrites if they suddenly come out loud. We may confront them head-on and tell them directly that they contributed to the issue," he said.

Nana Boadi expressed relief at the end of Akufo-Addo's presidency, despite his reluctant recognition of the president's capacity to control opposition.

Some of us are generally relieved to see him again. Many chiefs claim that they will just greet him since it is customary for them to do so when it comes to their policies and meetings. However, there will undoubtedly be a certain covert degree of skepticism and even contempt.

The Krontihene emphasized the expectation of change under the new leadership as they looked to the future.

Tomorrow is expecting a child. Ghanaians are looking forward to a lot, and we hope it will be a really good shift," he said.
