According to Nana Boadi Amponim Abodade III, the Krontihene of Akyem Asoum, Samira Bawumia, the wife of the NPP flagbearer, is disappointed that her husband lost the presidential election to John Mahama.

Nana Boadi asserted in a recent interview that Samira had a strong interest in her husband's presidential campaign and envisioned herself as a First Lady with a sense of style and public presence.

Nana Boadi stated, "Dr. Bawumia is not happy; he did his best and was desperate for the position."

Samira, however, was even more dissatisfied. She was incredibly desperate for the job.

According to Nana Boadi, Samira Bawumia was a prominent figure throughout the NPP campaign and frequently took center stage.

He credited her ambition to become First Lady and her ability to enthrall the public with her charisma and sense of style.

Samira was primarily in the lead because our nice old Auntie Rebecca [Akufo-Addo] wasn't very gregarious. He remarked, "She yearned to be the First Lady."

"She would have killed a lot if the NPP had won," he continued. He joked, "She will slay aaah Ghanaian ladies all go bore die," implying that her fashion sense would have established trends and possibly even sparked jealousy.

Samira's obvious dissatisfaction, according to Nana Boadi, was a reflection of the general atmosphere in the Bawumia home following the election defeat.

"She's really unhappy," he declared.
