The Deputy Chief Imam, Alhaji Ahmed Osman, has appealed to parents to throw their support behind Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections, especially those who have benefited from the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Free Senior High School (SHS) program.

Alhaji Osman addressed a gathering of community members, sharing a heartfelt perspective on how the NPP’s initiative has directly impacted families across the country.

“I have two children who went to senior high school,” he said. “One attended before it was free, and now, under the Free SHS program, my other child is attending without the burden of school fees.” His experience, he said, gave him firsthand insight into how meaningful this program has been for families.

The Deputy Chief Imam emphasized that parents who have reaped the benefits of this initiative could be powerful advocates for the NPP’s work. “If you’ve experienced this change, your voice matters. It’s not only about telling others but showing appreciation by supporting the continuation of these policies,” he added.

According to Osman, the Free SHS program has allowed many families to send their children to school without the stress of school fees, easing financial burdens and promoting educational access across the country. He argued that the NPP shouldn’t have to “advertise” this success because parents who have seen the benefits should champion it.

As the December 7 elections draw near, Osman urged the people of Mampong to consider the future of such policies. “This is not just about today; it’s about sustaining a brighter future for our children,” he stated, underscoring his belief that voting for Dr. Bawumia could secure continued educational benefits for future generations.
