To bolster their technical staff, Asante Kotoko will shortly name an Assistant Technical Director, according to Kwesi Appiah, Head of Sporting Affairs. Appiah, who just resigned as the Porcupine Warriors' technical director, said he was confident in the organization's new setup.

The club has appointed former coach and club legend Malik Jabir as its new technical director.

Speaking on the choice, Kwesi Appiah, a member of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), praised Jabir's preparedness for the position. Additionally, he emphasised how crucial it is to choose an assistant technical director.

As a former player, Malik Jabir is willing to put in the effort. He told Asempa FM, "He is willing to travel with the team, and his assistant will join the team and help Prosper Nartey Ogum for the games that he cannot travel with the team."

Former Interim Management Committee (IMC) member Prosper Narteh Ogum has now fully focused on his responsibilities as the team's head coach.

Asante Kotoko is preparing for a pivotal matchup with their bitter rivals, Hearts of Oak, in the 2024–25 Ghana Premier League on Matchday 13.

The game is scheduled to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off set for 15:00 GMT.
