President John Dramani Mahama has once again praised Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President of Ghana, for his early concession following the recent election results.

During his inauguration as Ghana's next president, President Mahama praised Dr. Bawumia for his contribution to reducing tensions in the nation.

Bawumia's swift acceptance of the election results, according to President Mahama, contributed to a feeling of stability and harmony.

"Your early concession was not only a demonstration of your statesmanship but also an act that contributed immensely to reducing tensions across the nation," stated President Mahama.

He added that this action was essential to preserving Ghana's standing as an African democracy leader.

The President emphasized the importance of these leadership traits for the nation's sustained development and cohesion.

"It is easy for tensions to rise during political contests, but your prompt concession helped lead us through a crucial stage in Ghana's democratic journey," he continued. Mahama thanked Bawumia for his excellent behavior at a period of unrest in the country.

Former Vice President Dr. Bawumia received a lot of appreciation for his statesmanlike behavior, which helped ensure a smooth handover of power.

In his closing remarks, President Mahama urged all political leaders to keep putting the welfare of the country ahead of their own or their parties' interests. "May Ghana's democracy remain a shining example for the world," stated the president.
