Ahead of the election on December 7, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced a five-day nationwide fast and prayer period for all of its members. Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC Communications Officer, made this announcement on Wednesday's Asempa FM Ekosii Sen program.
Mr. Gyamfi clarified that the session is a spiritual struggle to support their physical campaign actions, as the general election is just three days away.
On the ground, we have completed a great deal of work that must be done by humans. We have prayed spiritually and are currently fasting for five days while praying nonstop," he stated. Mr. Gyamfi said he is confident that Ghanaians will cast a large number of ballots for the NDC on December 7 in order to ensure their win.
"We have worked, and the message has been well received, so I will encourage NDC supporters to be enthusiastic about this election. We want Ghanaians to vote on the basis of their living conditions," he continued.
Ahead of the general elections in 2024, the NDC will host its last campaign rally on Thursday, December 5th, at noon. The rally's theme is "Resetting Ghana – Let's Finish Strong!" and it will take place in Zurak Park in Madina, Accra. As the country prepares for elections, the theme emphasises the NDC's promise of rebirth and forward motion.
