Ghana's Electoral Commission (EC) has come under fire from Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) director of elections and information technology, for justifying the decision to re-collate election results in nine seats.

Citing instances from the nation's election past, the EC had previously emphasized that the action was not unprecedented.

Dr. Omane Boamah responded by expressing his displeasure on Facebook, calling the EC "criminal," "incompetent," and "biased."

He maintained that the EC's logic was flawed because it ignored the fact that other Constitutional Instruments (C.I.s) had previously handled issues that were comparable.

This criminal Electoral Commission is biased and incompetent, according to the Facebook post. Some of these cases have been evoked by various Constitutional Instruments (C.I.s), but they are unaware of this or refuse to acknowledge it. As a result of their disarray, they have summoned an urgent IPAC meeting.
