John Dramani Mahama, the president-elect, has been warned by finance analyst Joe Jackson not to utilize the legal system to recoup the money that some people stole from the government.

He thinks that using the judicial system to get the loot will prolong the situation and might not ultimately provide any results.

Mahama should use his Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) committee to employ Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in order to reclaim what is rightfully the state's, according to Dalex Finance's Chief Operations Officer.

According to Mr. Jackson, Ghanaians would rather see the money that was stolen returned to fund other development initiatives than see criminals rotting in prison for cheating the government.

Speaking during Onua TV's special coverage of the Presidential Inauguration on Monday, January 06, 2025, the finance analyst who has stated his support for the ORAL said that going to court will be an ongoing battle.

In order to benefit the State, he advised Captain Smart, the show's host, that the government should give priority to confiscating the property of those who have committed crimes.

"I would advise the president-elect to refrain from discussing court issues in ORAL. Instead of engaging in a judicial battle, the team should simply summon those who have embezzled state funds and instruct them to bring the money discreetly.

"Retrieving our money is more important to us than locking individuals up. If not, we'll walk in court forever. ADR, not the legal system, should be used to resolve this. Instead of spending time in court, we could seize their properties if necessary and use the money to help the state," he suggested.

He claimed that even if the incoming administration does nothing more than recoup the wealth amassed by a few avaricious and dishonest people in authority, Ghanaians will still be extremely happy with it.
