The 2024 Youth Excellence Awards Africa's Health & Wellness category winner is Dr. Mrs. Juliet Sakyibea Amanor-Osafo, a physician at the Abotare Clinic.

Her noteworthy contribution to the medical field was acknowledged with the prize.

Dr. Amanor has contributed to the full acceptance of both traditional medicine and modern, science-based medicine, which validates the whole health experience.

In an interview following the award ceremony, she conveyed her sincere appreciation to the organizers for acknowledging her work advancing accessible and high-quality healthcare with Acupressure.

She also prayed to God to keep giving her the strength to help other patients in her area of expertise.


"I am aware that receiving this award will also motivate me to reach out and save more lives, as well as to be more dedicated to making sure that Ghanaians and others benefit from our advanced medical field.

She also urged John Dramani Mahama, the incoming president, to bolster the Ministry of Health's herbal and alternative sector division.



According to her, this can support their method of recovery and ease the strain on the traditional healthcare system.



The category was won in 2023 by Dr. Louisa Satekla, a dentist and oral health ambassador who is married to dancehall star Stonebwoy.
